I am a Board Certified Psychiatric / Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. I am an independent advanced practice nurse with specialized education and training in mental health and am licensed to prescribe medications. I evaluate, provide medication assessment and management for adults dealing with depression, anxiety, panic, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and attention deficit disorders.
I believe in a holistic approach to wellness which includes physical health, stress, lifestyle, sleep and diet for management of symptoms. During our appointment, I will listen to your concerns and then we will work together to develop a plan for your care. I believe it is important to treat the whole person and medication alone will not address nor treat all causes of psychiatric symptoms. A combination of therapy and medications can be the best treatment approach to help you manage difficult situations in your life and maintain long-term benefits.

Education and Experience
I have over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, providing services in hospital and outpatient settings. I have held clinical and administrative positions in several hospitals, providing clinical leadership and oversight to patient care areas. I have participated in research investigating psychiatric medication selection based on brain neurophysiology using Quantitative EEG.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Loretta Heights College (currently known as Regis University) and a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. I am Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with prescriptive authority.
